IDK is an American poet and writer. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he graduated in 2013 from SUNY Brockport with a degree in linguistics. Realizing that the typical 9-5 work life was not for him, IDK immediately began to pursue other career paths. He has since published three books: Stranglehold Headphones, The Fuck You Diaries and Write a Book of Poems in One Night.

Since deciding to pursue the life of an artist, IDK has published two works with plans on breaking into the world of novels. His vulgar tone, and unique voice comes from his twentieth century heroes. He is heavily influenced by the Beat Generation. Perhaps his greatest inspiration for writing is Naked Lunch. IDK hopes to keep the beat generation alive with his musically influenced, vulgar work.

“After recently publishing his first collection of poems Stranglehold Headphones, IDK is quick to embrace the importance of music in his life. Hoping that his fan base embraces the hip hop scene that has influenced him so much, IDK is trying to develop the contemporary beatnik style of writing. He is vulgar, yet poetic.”-Collapsed Lexicon
